JAMBO! We Showcased AFRICA at the Multicultural Fair!

On Friday, September 26 we had an AWESOME day full of Multicultural fanfare! 4th Grade selected AFRICA to showcase! The kids had a ton of fun and learned so much as we prepared and presented this continent to the entire school! We highlighted the food, items, traditions, games, diverse countries, and African influences! All the children were super hosts to those who visited our room!

Preparing for the BIG DAY!!!

The day could not have been better! It was so fun to have people learn about AFRICA and for US to learn about other countries as we visited other rooms!

We researched and worked in pairs to present 11 countries in AFRICA!
We had an AMAZING woman (Mary Poindexter) who came to our classroom to share her African influenced dolls!

The Jackmans provided some YUMMY African food for all to try! The Hills also provided Plantain chips for the sampling table!!! We had lots of people enjoy our samples!

Our Research Posters were a hit!

We recreated the flags of the countries we researched.
What a WONDERFUL day that is sure to be remembered in our 4th grade memory!
